كندا لايف – أعلن قصر باكينغهام، الثلاثاء، أن الملكة إليزابيث الثانية قررت “على مضض” عدم المشاركة في مؤتمر الأمم المتحدة للمناخ “كوب-26″وذلك بعد توصية بضرورة “أخذ قسط من الراحة” بعد أقل من أسبوع على قضاء ليلة في المستشفى.
وأعلن القصر في بيان: “بعد توصية لها بضرورة الراحة تقوم الملكة بمهام بسيطة في قصر ويندسور. قررت جلالة الملكة بأسف عدم التوجه إلى غلاسكو لحضور حفل استقبال كوب-26 الاثنين المصادف الأول من نوفمبر”
وأضاف البيان: “تشعر الملكة بخيبة أمل لعدم تمكنها من حضور حفل الاستقبال، لكنها ستتوجه إلى المندوبين المجتمعين من خلال رسالة فيديو مسجلة”
وكشف موقع “Sky News” البريطاني نقلا عن مصدر بالقصر، قوله إن القرار اتخذ “كإجراء احترازي معقول”. وأوضح المصدر أن الملكة في “في حالة معنوية جيدة”.
وبعد جدول أعمال مثقل مطلع أكتوبر، ألغت الملكة الأسبوع الماضي زيارة إلى أيرلندا الشمالية بناءً على نصيحة أطبائها الذين طلبوا منها أن تأخذ قسطًا من الراحة.
وكانت الملكة أمضت، ليل الأربعاء الخميس، في مستشفى إدوارد السابع الخاص في لندن بعد أن خضعت “لفحوصات أولية”.
يشار إلى أن إليزابيث الثانية، تبلغ من العمر 95 عاما، وهي أكبر وأطول ملوك العالم جلوسا على العرش.
