كندا لايف – اعلنت الشرطة ان ستيف غانيون 38 عاما، على أنه سائق الشاحنة الصغيرة الذي تم اعتقاله لصلته بوفاة مشاة في أمكي، كيبيك.
وتقول شرطة المقاطعة إنه سلم نفسه بعد الواقعة ومن المتوقع توجيه الاتهام إليه في وقت لاحق اليوم.
وكان قُتل جيرالد شارست، 65 عامًا، وجان لافرينيير، 73 عامًا، وأصيب تسعة آخرون بينهم 3 أطفال بعد أن اصطدمت شاحنة صغيرة بمشاة كانوا يسيرون بجوار طريق في بلدة أمكي بشرق كيبيك بعد ظهر يوم الاثنين.
وقال شهود عيان لوسائل إعلام محلية إن شاحنة بيك-آب صغيرة صدمت عدداً من الأشخاص على أحد الأرصفة قبل أن تواصل سيرها مسافة 500 متر تقريباً وتدهس أشخاصاً آخرين.
