كندا لايف – صادق مجلس الشيوخ الهولندي، اليوم الثلاثاء، على اتفاقية تحرير التجارة بين الاتحاد الأوروبي وكندا، المعروفة باسم اتفاقية «سيتا»، لتنضم هولندا إلى قائمة الدول الأعضاء في الاتحاد التي صدقت على الاتفاقية.
ووافق مجلس الشيوخ اليوم على الاتفاقية بأغلبية 40 مقابل 30 عضواً، بعد موافقة مجلس النواب عليها منذ أكثر من عامين، حيث عرقل مجلس الشيوخ تمرير الاتفاقية طوال الفترة الماضية بسبب معارضة حزب العمال الاشتراكي الديمقراطي.
وما زالت الاتفاقية تنتظر تصديق دول كبيرة داخل الاتحاد، مثل فرنسا وألمانيا وإيطاليا، وتعتزم ألمانيا التصديق عليها خلال الخريف المقبل، بعد اتفاق الأحزاب المشاركة في الائتلاف الحاكم على ذلك.
ودخلت اتفاقية «سيتا» حيز التنفيذ جزئياً بشكل مؤقت منذ سبتمبر 2017، حيث يتم تنفيذ البنود المسؤول عنها المفوضية الأوروبية، وهي الذراع التنفيذية للاتحاد الأوروبي، لكنها تنتظر التصديق الرسمي عليها من العديد من البرلمانات الوطنية لدول الاتحاد الأوروبي الـ27، ومن بينها البرلمان الهولندي.
