وعن أسباب تراجع العملة الأوروبية الموحدة، أشار خبراء إلى ارتفاعات غير مسبوقة في معدلات التضخم في الدول الأوروبية، الأمر الذي دفع المستثمرين للهرب إلى الدولار باعتباره “ملاذا آمنا” ووسيلة موثوقة للحماية من التضخم.
إلى جانب عدم اليقين النقدي لسياسة البنك المركزي الأوروبي، ما يساهم فقط في ضعف اليورو، إذ أنه من المتوقع أن يرفع المركزي سعر الفائدة الصفري الحالي فقط خلال الشهر الجاري.
كذلك لفت الخبراء إلى مسألة ارتفاغ سعر صرف الدولار الأميركي أمام العملات في الفترة الماضية، وذلك بعد قرارات الفيدرالي الأميركي (البنك المركزي) برفع سعر الفائدة في الولايات المتحدة.
