كندا لايف – أصدر الفاتيكان، اليوم الخميس، برنامج رحلة البابا فرانسيس الى كندا في الفترة من 24 إلى 30 تموز (يوليو)، الأمر الذي يؤكد أن الحبر الأعظم ينوي زيارة هذا البلد على الرغم مشاكل الركبة التي اضطرته إلى إلغاء زيارة صعبة مماثلة إلى إفريقيا.
وتأتي زيارة البابا لكندا للاعتذار للشعوب الأصلية على الانتهاكات التي تحدث في المدارس الداخلية التي يديرها الكاثوليك.
ويتضمن برنامج البابا عدة لقاءات مع مجموعات من السكان الأصليين، بالإضافة إلى زيارة لمنطقة ماسكواسيس، وألبرتا حيث ستهبط طائرته البابا أولاً، وتلني تضم أيضاً أكبر عدد من المدارس الداخلية في كندا.
وسيعقد اليابا فرانسيس لقاءً خاصاً مع الناجين من المدارس في إيكوالويت النائية، التي يزورها لبضع ساعات في طريق عودته إلى روما في 29 تموز (يوليو).
والبابا (85 عامًا)، يتنقّل منذ حوالى الشهر بواسطة كرسي متحرّك بسبب مشكلة في ركبته اليمنى تجعل الوقوف والمشي صعبًا.
وتأخّر نشر برنامج رحلة البابا الى كندا، الأمر الذي جعل البعض يعتقد أن الزيارة قد تلغى.
