كندا لايف – تقدمت شركة ريفلون الأمريكية لمستحضرات التجميل بطلب لحمايتها من الإفلاس بموجب الفصل 11 من القانون الأمريكى لحماية الشركات من الإفلاس، بعد فشلها فى منافسة الشركات الناشئة التى تركز على المبيعات الأون لاين التى ظهرت خلال السنوات القليلة الماضية.
وجاء فى طلب شركة ريفلون التي تشتهر بمنتجاتها الفاخرة من أحمر الشفايف وطلاء الأظافر الذى تقدمت به إلى محكمة الإفلاس في المنطقة الجنوبية بمدينة نيويورك أن أصولها ومديونياتها تقدر بمبلغ يتراوح بين مليار و10 مليارات دولار.
وجاء طلب شركة ريفلون للحماية من الإفلاس بعد أن نشرت صحيفة وول ستريت جورنال الأمريكية تقريرًا يؤكد أنها بدأت المفاوضات مع البنوك الدائنة لها قبل موعد استحقاق سداد ديونها، لحمايتها من الإفلاس.
ولم تتمكن شركة ريفلون التى يملكها الملياردير رون بيرلمان من منافسة شركات مستحضرات التجميل الأونلاين التى يدعمها مشاهير مثل المغنية ريانا والممثلة وسيدة الأعمال التى تملك شركة فينتى بيوتى و كيلى جينير عارضة الأزياء وسيدة الأعمال التى تدير شركة كيلى كوزميتيكس.
وعلى العكس من ريفلون فقد زادت الحصة السوثية لشركة كوتى بفضل استثماراتها فى تحسين منتجاتها من الماسكارا وأحمر الشفايف لتستعيد طلب العملاء ومبيعاتها التى كانت عليها قبل وباء كورونا الذى ساعد على انتعاش مبيعات شركات البيع على الانترنت أثناء قيود جائحة كوفيد 19.
وتواجه شركة ريفلون التى تبيع مستحضرات التجميل منذ أكثر من 90 سنة و التى تديرها ديبرا ابنة بيرلمان منذ منتصف عام 2018 ديون طويلة الأجل تقدر بقيمة 3.31 مليار دولار حتى 31 مارس الماضي.
وأسس شركة ريفلون الشقيقان شارلز و جوزيف ريفسون و شارلز لاشمان فى عام 1932 وتم بيعها لشركة ماكاندرو اند فوربيس فى عام 1985، ثم إدراجها فى البورصة الأمريكية فى عام 1996، كما استطاعت أن تشترى شركة اليزابيث اردن الشهيرة بمنتجات العناية بالبشرة بحواى 870 مليون دولار فى علم 2016 لتعزيز منتجاتها.
وهبطت مبيعات ريفلون التى تشتهر بمنتجات عالمية مثل عطور بريتنى سبيرز المغنية الأمريكية المعروفة، العام الماضى بنسبة 22% من مستوياتها المرتفعة فى عام 2017 بسبب قيود كورونا وتزايد المنافسة من الشركات الناشئة التى تبيع منتجاتها من خلال المنصات الإلكترونية والتى انتعشت مبيعاتها خلال عامى الوباء وحتى الآن.
