كندا لايف – تعرضت ألبرتا لعاصفة مطريه كبيرة هذا الأسبوع، وقد تسبب نظام العاصفة نفسه في حدوث بعض الظروف الشتوية في بعض أجزاء المقاطعة، مع تساقط الثلوج في منتصف يونيو/حزيران.
يقوم النظام بجلب ما يزيد عن 150 ملم من الأمطار إلى أجزاء من ألبرتا، حتى أنه أجبر مدينة كالجاري على إعلان حالة الطوارئ المحلية بسبب مخاوف من الفيضانات.
علاوة على كمية الأمطار الغزيرة، تسبب نفس النظام بتساقط كمية جيدة من الثلج في المرتفعات العالية لجبال ألبيرتا روكيز.
غطت الثلوج تلال ألبرتا يوم الاثنين مع استمرار هطول الأمطار الغزيرة في التأثير على المروج الغربية:
نشر منتجع Castle Mountain، وهو تل تزلج في Pincher Creek، صورة على حسابه على فيسبوك تظهر أن 25 سم من الزغب قد سقط في غضون 24 ساعة فقط.
وأضاف المنتجع أنه مع زيادة هطول الأمطار في التوقعات، فقد ذكر أنه لا ينصح بالسفر بسبب احتمال عدم استقرار الجليد. أثار تغير الأحوال الجوية القلق من الانهيارات الجليدية.
