كندا لايف – أعلن برنامج الأغذية العالمي التابع للأمم المتحدة، الثلاثاء، تقديم كندا مليون دولار لدعم العمليات الإغاثية في اليمن.
وأفاد في تغريدة على تويتر، بأن هذا المبلغ إضافي لدعم عمليات برنامج الغذاء العالمي في اليمن.
وتابع “بمساعدتكم، يواصل برنامج الأغذية العالمي معالجة الاحتياجات الملحة للملايين من الناس الذين يعانون من انعدام الأمن الغذائي الشديد في اليمن”
ويشهد اليمن حرباً منذ ثمان سنوات أدت إلى أسوأ أزمة إنسانية في العالم وفق تقديرات الأمم المتحدة، وبات نحو ثلثي السكان بحاجة للمساعدة وفق تقديرات الأمم المتحدة.
