كندا لايف – أعلنت كندا حظر استخدام تقنيات شركة “هواوي” الصينية في شبكات الهواتف المحمولة الكندية من الجيل الخامس.
وقال رئيس الوزراء جاستن ترودو: “سيتم حظر استخدام تقنيات هواوي الصينية في شبكات الهاتف المحمول الكندية من الجيل الخامس”.
وأوضحت الحكومة أنّ هذا القرار سيحظر تقنيات شركة “هواوي”، بسبب مخاوف التجسس، بعد تحركات مماثلة من قبل الولايات المتحدة وأستراليا ونيوزيلندا والمملكة المتحدة.
من جهته، قال وزير الصناعة الكندي فرانسوا فيليب شامباني في مؤتمر صحافي: “نعلن عزمنا على حظر منتجات وخدمات هواوي وزي تي إي في أنظمة الاتصالات الكندية”.
وأضاف: “يأتي ذلك بعد مراجعة كاملة أجرتها أجهزتنا الأمنية، بالتشاور مع أقرب حلفائنا”.
يذكر أنّ العلاقات الدبلوماسية بين كندا والصين توترت في نهاية العام 2018، عقب اعتقال المديرة المالية لشركة “هواوي” في فانكوفر.
لكن بعد ذلك، أمرت قاضية كنديّة، في أيلول/سبتمبر الماضي، بإطلاق سراح المديرة الماليّة لشركة “هواوي” منغ وانتشو، منهيةً بذلك إجراءات تسليمها، في جلسة استماع قصيرة في المحكمة العليا في فانكوفر.
وتعدُّ “هواوي” أكبر مصدّر عالمي لأجهزة الشبكات لشركات الهاتف والإنترنت، وتعتبر رمزاً لتقدّم الصين لأن تصبح قوة عالمية تكنولوجية.
