أكدت وزارة البيئة الكندية (EC) أن إعصار EF-0 قد هبط بالقرب من كارون ساسك “Caron Sask” حوالي الساعة 7 مساءً.
وقالت وزارة البيئة الكندية في ملخص أولي للطقس يوم الأربعاء إن الإعصار كان عبارة عن منطقة أرضية يُشتبه في أنها نتجت عن عاصفة رعدية قوية تتفاعل مع الحدود.
وأوضحت ” ان أعاصير الارضية لا تسبب عادة أضرارًا كبيرة ولكنها لا تزال خطرة لأنها يمكن أن تطيح بالأشجار أو تتلف الأسطح أو تقذف الحطام لمسافة قصيرة”.
على مقياس فوجيتا المحسن (EF) يعد EF-0 أقل تصنيف للإعصار، حيث تبلغ سرعة الرياح حوالي 90-130 كم / ساعة.
تلقت وزارة البيئة الكندية تقريرًا واحدًا غير مؤكد عن الأضرار.
أنتجت العاصفة التي أدت إلى تحذيرات شديدة من العواصف الرعدية في عدة مناطق حول Moose Jaw ما كان يعتبر في البداية “إعصارًا محتملاً” من قبل وزارة البيئة وتغير المناخ الكندية (ECCC)
